Riftbound Top 8 Decks from SCGCon Las Vegas 2025

Star City Games hosted a major Riftbound tournament at SCGCon Las Vegas on November 23, 2025, bringing together 386 players for a $10,000 prize pool. Once again, Kai'Sa proved to be the dominant force in the meta, taking four of the eight top spots. Here's a breakdown of the top 8 decklists and what they tell us about the current state of Riftbound.

Note: The rankings are based on the record; however, the prizing was split between the top 4.

SCGCon Meta Overview

The tournament field leaned heavily toward Kai'Sa, with 38% of all players bringing the Daughter of the Void to the event. Master Yi was the second most popular choice at 16.6%, followed by Ahri at 7.7% and Viktor at 7.1%. Sett, Teemo, and Miss Fortune each pulled in 5.6% of the field, while Annie showed up at 4.7%. The remaining 8.9% was split among other champions.

In the top 8, Kai'Sa's dominance became even clearer. Four players piloted Kai'Sa decks, two ran Annie builds, and one each brought Sett and Teemo. Master Yi, despite being the second most popular legend overall, failed to make it into the finals. This nearly mirrors the results from the Shanghai National Open, where Kai'Sa and Master Yi dominated the top tables but Kai'Sa ultimately came out ahead. However, at SCGCon, Annie had the best record, and Master Yi didn't perform as well as he did in the Shanghai National Open.

What This Tournament Tells Us About the Current Riftbound Meta?

SCGCon reinforces what we already saw at the Shanghai National Open: Kai'Sa is the best legend in Riftbound right now, and it's not particularly close. Four of the top 8 decks were Kai'Sa, and the legend made up 38% of the overall field. Master Yi remains popular but underperformed, failing to make the top 8 despite being the second most-played legend.

Annie's performance at SCGCon is encouraging for players looking for alternatives to Kai'Sa. Two Annie decks made the top 4, showing that the legend can compete when built correctly.

Sett and Teemo both showed that other high tier legends can still succeed, but they require skilled pilots and good matchup knowledge. Savjz's Sett deck and Prismaticism's Teemo list were the only non-Kai'Sa, non-Annie decks in the top 8, proving that innovation still has a place in the meta.
