Chengdu Regional Open Results – Popularity, Conversion Rate & Best Deck for Every Legend!

The second of four regional tournaments in China is in the books, and here's what we learned from it:

Draven once again won the event while also representing more than half of the top 64 competitors. The winner used the more common Spinning Axe build, but the miracle list made it to the top 8 this time, improving its 17th place in Fuzhou.

Irelia once again ranked second in most categories, with 66 players behind Draven's 148 and a 19.7% conversion rate, once again second to the Glorious Executioner 25%. However, the Blade Dancer lost in Top 8 this time, while it made it to the top 4 in the previous regional.

14 legends made it to the top 64 in Chengdu, three more compared to last week. Draven, Irelia, Annie, Sett, Lucian, Azir, Viktor, Fiora, Ezreal and Kai'sa got there in both tournaments, while Leona, Ornn, Sivir and Rek'Sai earned their first day 2.
Unfortunately, Ahri and Master Yi failed to repeat after their top 64 placement in Fuzhou.

Fiora navigated her way to the finals once more, with only one player entering day 2. A similar story could be told about Ezreal, whose sole representative in the top 64 lost in the semifinals, against Fiora.
Both legends looked capable in terms of raw power, but need a better conversion rate to be considered reliable dominant forces.

Speaking of a disappointing conversion rate, Kai'sa had the worst one out of all legends qualified for day 2. With 39 representatives, the Daughter of the Void only had one standing in Top 64, who unfortunately lost immediately.

Except for Draven and Irelia, Annie and Viktor are the other legends with more than one player in top 64, with two each. Unfortunately, all four were out by the end of the round of 32, like most other legends who made it to day 2.
