RIftbound TCG Sivir - Battle Mistress

Sivir – Best Decks & Cards

The battle mistress joins the Spiritforged releases. Find out more about Sivir in Riftbound here.

Sivir is a renowned fortune hunter and mercenary captain who plies her trade in the deserts of Shurima. Armed with her legendary jeweled crossblade, she has fought and won countless battles for those who can afford her exorbitant price. Known for her fearless resolve and endless ambition, she prides herself on recovering buried treasures from the perilous tombs of Shurima—for a generous bounty. With ancient forces stirring the very bones of Shurima, Sivir finds herself torn between conflicting destinies.

As part of the 12 new legends from the Spiritforged set, Sivir represents the Body and Chaos domain, a mix she will now share with Miss Fortune. The Bounty Hunter had a solid performance during the first set, emerging as top 5 legend on the back of a powerful ramp oriented strategy.
The Battle Mistress should play differently, focusing on power-costs to recycle runes and leverage her ability.

Cards with a power-cost typically are the strongest in Riftbound, as recycling a rune can set you back for the rest of a match. In every card game, the player with the more energy available always had an edge if the game was to last.

In that context, Sivir could be considered a high-risk type of legend, willingly recycling runes to summon powerful cards, and hopefully creating enough SFD-T03 to alleviate future power-costs.

Sivir Signature Cards

SFD-143 is picked as the Chosen Champion early in Spiritforged, her counterpart often being considered too risky to run. Indeed, if you manage to reduce the power-cost through creating Gold Gear Tokens, SFD-120 is a great card. However, there are other high cost cards available, such as OGN-192 or SFD-105.

On the other hand, SFD-143 can be played on turn two in a lot of scenarios, and pressures the opponent with her ability to scale and gain Ganking. Plus, the card also rewards you for recycling runes for power-costs, but is fine whatever card you paid for.

SFD-204 is widely regarded as a great signature spell, but doesn't see too much at the moment due to SFD-203's play style. At the moment, the Battle Mistress leans on her Chaos side more, a domain associated with powerful abilities, but not dominant units in showdowns. As such, readying our units doesn't have the same impact as if Sivir was using units from the Body domain.

Sivir Staple Cards and Synergies

As a legend forced to work with power-costs, Sivir wants to see SFD-130 early and often. The card synergizes with all the spells allowing to move a unit most Chaos decks play already, so expect to see OGN-168 or OGN-173 in the mix as well.

Due to sharing the same requirement, OGN-185 is included more often than not. The 2-cost forms a package with OGN-195 and OGN-182, two cards benefiting from the ability.

The other staple every one agrees on is OGN-172, a fantastic spell to deal with a large unit late in the match. Every Chaos legend typically runs at least one copy, but this particular legends is designed to alleviate power-costs, meaning the spell should be even stronger with Sivir.

It is still early in this new set so a consensus about staple cards still has to be made. SFD-140 and SFD-149 are widely considered strong early cards, and carry a power-cost the legend can synergize with. OGN-192 is another card one can fit in most Chaos decks so I would expect to see it at least once or twice in refined builds.
