The Shanghai National Open Tournament wrapped up this week, and the results paint a clear picture of Riftbound's current meta. Out of 1,996 players who entered the competition, the top 8 was split evenly between just two champions—four Kai'Sa decks and four Master Yi decks. No other legend managed to break through the top 8, showing just how dominant these two are in the current Riftbound meta.
By the time Day 2 rolled around, these two champions made up over 72% of the remaining field. That kind of dominance is hard to ignore, and it's safe to say that anyone serious about competing in Riftbound right now needs to either play one of these two or have a solid plan for beating them.
Below, you'll find the complete decklists for all eight players who made it to the top 8 of the Shanghai National Open Tournament. Four of them are Kai'Sa decks, and the other four are Master Yi decks. Each list is slightly different, so if you're planning to build one of these decks yourself, it's worth comparing them to see which version fits your playstyle best.
Winning Deck (Kai'Sa Omega Zero)
Runner Up Deck (Master Yi - SugarFree (不吃糖的))
Deck 3 (Kai'Sa - 呆头飞鸟)
Deck 4 (Master Yi - ARBD-lay)
Deck 5 (Master Yi - TAL.狮心王)
Deck 6 (Kai'Sa - Ai.卡唐)
Deck 7 (Kai'Sa - 白龙万丈)
Deck 8 (Master Yi - GREY阳)
With Kai'Sa and Master Yi completely locking down the top spots, the rest of the field is struggling to keep up. Champions like Annie, Darius, and Viktor showed decent win rates during Day 1, but none of them managed to convert that success into a top 8 finish. We're currently preparing a full meta guide based on the Shanghai National Open Tournament, and we will be posting it here soon.
