Fiora – Best Decks & Cards

The most feared duelist in all Valoran, Fiora is as renowned for her brusque manner and cunning mind as she is for the speed of her bluesteel rapier. Born to House Laurent in the kingdom of Demacia, Fiora took control of the family from her father in the wake of a scandal that nearly destroyed them. House Laurent's reputation was sundered, but Fiora bends her every effort to restore her family's honor and return them to their rightful place among the great and good of Demacia.

Sharing the same colours as OGN-269, the Grand Duelist chose a similar play style with a slightly slower pace and more support cards so far in Spiritforged. Units designed to dominate a showdown or be very resilient to opposing removals are still part of the mix, especially if they can become Mighty. Yet, the legend ability naturally encourages to consider more expensive, or power-cost cards as well.

The ability clearly states we have to work towards buffing our units to 5-might, but doesn't limit how we want to use the extra runes. At the moment, it seems that Fiora is packing a good amount of cards with hefty power-costs (SFD-206, SFD-097, OGN-164, OGN-213, SFD-108), which can set us back if used carelessly.
In that context, the ability will serve to alleviate those costs, and stay on par with our opponent resource wise, although we use those cards requiring to recycle multiple runes.

Spiritforged Fiora Deck

Fiora Signature Cards

With OGN-232 released in the Origins set, Fiora is the only legend with three champions units to pick from. So far, all three seem to coexist, each bringing something different to the table.
OGN-232 is the better standalone inclusion, able to function as a generic threat while sharing the same goal as SFD-205. The other two are more situational, and carry a power cost as well, but will force the opponent to remove them nonetheless.
So far, the expected balance is three copies of OGN-232 and one of the others, typically in the Chosen Champion slot. The 4-cost is the most important at the moment, but we can expect to find it without having it sit next to our deck.

SFD-206 is a difficult spell to use early on, as recycling two runes is a hefty cost. However, it is a game changing tool once in the later stages of a match, able to turn an opponent's spell into a buff, and wreck the opponent's plan as a result.
Even if you have it in hand, keeping two runes open as Fiora will force your opponent to respect Riposte, and possibly hold on using the likes of OGN-122.
Two copies seems fair at the moment, to make sure you find it in time, while not having it sit in your hand if you drew it early.

Fiora Staple Cards and Synergies

At the moment, Fiora is mostly focused on finding strong units, able to snowball a match if they stay on the board. From there, buffs and support spells will strengthen those units.

Buffing is how the legend turns her units into mighty combatants. OGN-232 and OGN-164 are the focus, but any 4-might unit can be buffed to trigger SFD-205's ability, such as SFD-109 in the featured deck.
That deck also aims to turn 3-might units into mighty combatants, using SFD-108 or SFD-095 to buff SFD-113 or SFD-112.
Obviously, the deck will also pack several support cards related to buffs or able to increase a unit's might : OGN-136 and SFD-097 on top of the equipment cards.

Units sporting a strong ability, with a base 3 or 4 might, alongside some support to get them to five. This is how Fiora plays at the moment.
